Back in the day, Pokemon. The thrill that game gave little ten year old me was insane. I loved it. Sure, my new love is CoD, but comparing my joy with CoD and my insanity over pokemon, pokemon wins.

Haha I completely agree. I would play pokemon non-stop on my Gameboy and Gameboy Color. Man, those were the days.

I also can relate. and I was heartbroken when I left my GBA with pokemon red in it on a plane.
Pokemon was everything back in the day, I used to love playing pokemon yellow on gameboy pocket and playing with the cards with my friends those were the days.
Personally, I've played games all my life. For as long as I can remember, I've owned some sort of gaming console. From the nintendo 64, the Sega Genesis, the PS1, a gameboy, gameboy color, PS2, Xbox, PSP, and up until today where I've owned both an Xbox 360 and a PS3, I've had pretty much all of it growing up.
As far as my favorite franchises...
As a child, either Pokemon or Crash Bandicoot.
As an adolescent (few years back-present), I'd say either Halo or CoD. I know it seems a bit cliche, but I've always had a thing for FPS, and these two are the most popular of the genre. And rightfully so.
