I bought it to digitize my VHS movies to DVD. The version I have was purchased on the Internet and it has a button to disable the Macrovison (crap used to prevent making copies). I even used to record movies or shows from Hulu by connecting my two computers and recording on the 2nd one. That was a great device. I still have the original box and accessories.
I bought it to digitize my vinyls via USB on my computer. It comes with a free editing software to help remove scratches, pops, clicks and background noise.
I used to have a graphic equalizer with a small LED display and I miss it a lot when I listen to music.
Now you can get a much cheaper alternative but some are pretty expensive.
There are more and more of those LED spectrum Analyzer available now and most come as DIY kits.
I bought the small one and I love it! Thanks for the tip!
I connected it to my TV since I watch it more than I listen to music right now so I get to see it in action every day.
I used to have a cool handlebar with pedals, a great gadget for racing. But my older sister spoiled it, because her husband wanted to play. After that, I haven't seen that steering wheel for more than 10 years.
Only memories remain.
It's very sad when you give someone your gadget for temporary use and they end up damaging it or not returning it at all. Because of this risk, I don't lend my gadgets to anyone.
Now I'm thinking of buying a steering wheel for simulators and regular racing. But I'm weighing up whether I'll have time to play and whether it's worth buying it at all.
Totally get that, I’m done lending stuff out. A steering wheel sounds fun, but I'm wondering if I’d just end up using it once and then it collects dust.
It's true, this practice happens very often when you want to buy something like a gadget or a toy, or even like I wanted a flubber. But when I thought about it, I realized that it would just sit on the shelf and that's it. If I use it for a while, I'll forget about it later. It can be the same with your steering wheel.
