Thats's easy. I think that Link is a lot better because he's the one that fights all the evil doers in all the Zelda games, while Zelda is just trapped, kidnapped, or asleep somewhere. Also in SSBM, I think that Link is still better then Zelda.
Link, mastersword+shield and some awsome items such as flute/acceraina thing, hookshot, bombs, also the fairy belssed him with magic, and the masks (in majoras mask)
