Actualy hippies used to be all about art. Anyways most forms of art we are exposed to are free.

The art you buy, which everyone is talking about in here, may be expensive but if you have the money for it and you enjoy looking at it then go ahead and buy it.

Money is useless unless spent. The only point in saving money or making money is to gain more money to spend.

I was actually thinking about this the other day... and I came up with, it is because it makes someone happy. If you have the money to buy an expensive piece of artwork, and it makes you happy, then I think that it is worth it. So even though it might not be worth it to one person, someone else may truly enjoy it. You can't put a price on happiness!

no but u do need a art credit to pass, in some high schools i think you need two. for example, in my high school u only need 1 credit, so u can take visual arts, drama or music, then in my friend's high school u need two credits, so hes taking visual arts and music. and carilie i must agree, u really cant put a price on happiness, for example, in grade seven i drew something in my art club, then it was the best drawing iv ever done, and every1 was supprised i drew it cuz they thought it was truly done by a proffesional, and then whenever i look at it im filled with happiness

It's kinda like playing video games and when you see you got the high score, you feel happy. i couldn't think of a simile for buying it though...

I have pondered this many times and I am an artist.

I think art can change the mood of a room or a person. Sometime a piece of art might make a room feel more complete or homey. Sometimes art also can be a gift that has meaning behind the suject that makes the person receiving it feel better.
I've made many pieces of art for my friends and they always like it. Receiving a personal gift is always nice.

Eh, let's see if it can be revived :P

@ PoeNoodles: That's the nice thing about being able to draw- if you can do something that is *your own*, that saves a lot of thinking about the shopping for those birthday gifts :P

When all else fails I draw a picture. Can't beat that for uniqueness.
