I actually use Game Winners beause they aren't covered in flash-based ads that slow down my computer.

I've tried Giant Bomb, but right now I am using CheatFreak.com.

Out of the two I prefer Gamespot. I just like the way the site is set up and plus it seems more organized than Giant Bomb.

Thanks, I have another site to bookmark. The idea of a video game wiki and news site seems good. I still go with Gamespot, since I never knew what Giant Bomb was until a few minutes ago. I prefer IGN over Gamespot btw.

I find it amazing that old threads from 2008 got hundreds, or even thousands of view, even though they had only a dozen posts or so. That makes it somewhat predicatble whether you are dealing with an ancient revived thread or not.

GiantBomb is much better

...

You asked for our opinionand then shoot it down.

Gamespot is better known and my favourite game information site. For guides i usually use IGN because they are better than the gamespot guides.

But gamespot and some other website with cheats in it's name have the best forums.

Surprised he revived his own thread after a year of inactivity and two years since creation. How do all these newbs find all these old threads? Do they really spend the time looking?

I just realized the aforementioned right now.

For my cheats I used Gamespot and its affiliates and cheatscodesguides.com which is an IGN site. For news I go to a favorite blog of mine, IGN and Kotaku.

I use GameFAQS to, but not for everything. Classmate told me about it three to four years ago I think.

Wow, this thread has been revived twice

Yes, and surprising it has generated a little conversation.

IGN bought GameSpot anyway didn't they?

I use GameSpot for reviews, game footage, etc. and I use Eurogamer for all my news because they hire some pretty good writers.

I did use Giant Bomb for a little bit but I found GameSpot had a much larger community and was a bit more organised. For news I used to use N4G (News for Gamers) but they simplified the stories a lot and then you'd have to visit some random website for the entire article.

No, that's different. IGN doesn't own Gamespot.
