I didnt even have shelly for 5 months!!!! and they last up to 20 years if u take good care of them! I was thinking she would last till winter alteast! we want a dog but my mom wants a small one and my step dad wants a big one I JUST CANT DO ANYTHING ANYMORE!! IM TO SAD TO DO ANY THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My old college roomate had a hermit crab he named Hermie. He died pretty quickly too. It's okay though, I'm sure he led a happy life. Instead of mourning you should celebrate the happiness that your pets have given you. Best wishes.
Awww. I used to have hermit crabs. But they didn't really do much... I would suggest looking into a different type of pet perhaps? One that will love longer? Fish and hermit crabs don't tend to last too long.
I agree with Moe. My roommate has a ball python, and she is very sweet. They are easy to take care of and keep healthy, and live long lives.
Have you guys ever seen those water dogs? hmm...heres a picture.
I saw them before and I thought they were the most unusual creatures with the weirdest grinning faces. I wanted one really bad, just because they were so different. They have external gills, weird huh? I think they eat small fish. I wonder if they would make good pets?
I had four turtles, but they sort of died because I think I gave them coke or something. I was really sad at the time, as I would have races with them in the bathtub and they actually raced and tried to win. It was really fun and I missed them for quite a while, but you have to move on with things. Now, my two cats are in good health, though one is rather fat. I know someday they'll die too, and you just have to face it and move on.
no, you know what you should get? is a Tortoise. No matter what anyone says, they are one of the greatest pets ever. In fact, if you raise one right, it could outlive you! Also, if you have a lot of weeds (such as dandelions. Actually, only dandelions as far as I know) in you're yard, you can feed him for a day or 2. And, unlike anything history will tell you about tortoises, they are pretty fast. Even if they need some room to "run" around, you don't needd to give them water, no need for much shelter (unless you want to give them a 1/2 a log, My tortoise loves his) they bury themselves in the dirt/mulch/woodchips. The only thing that would stop you from getting one, which could easily replace any hermit crab (besides emotional bonds) is a slightly raised electrical bill (due to a heat lamp or 3)
Might I sugest a Russian Tortoise? I have one myself named Victor, and so far he is about 2 1/2 years old, and is the size of a smal plate. I'd recommend to anyone one of those.
Also, have you thougt about frogs, perhaps? Maybe fish? Like the Knife Fish?
