Is anyone here in the Open Beta? Well I am. What do you think about it, if you are? What appealed to you? What sucked bad?
For me the game was just really kick ass, but then I tend to see they borrowed a few things from WoW and WoW borrowed a few things from WAR. Like seriously, the HUD for WAR is soo similar to WoW as well as the keys, on another note, the achievements feature in the new WoW expansion that is coming out, WAR already has it. :P LOL its funny, how fanboys of these two games are fighting each other and I think that both the companies are actually just friends and helping each other out. Like cmon, the similarity for both these games are just ridiculous. There are in-game surveys and I have told them about this, but I dont know if they will do anything about it.
Also it is just a beta, but i found a few annoying quest bugs as well as RvR bugs that I have reported. Some monsters actually cant be killed! :P But they can kill you! Its REALLY annoying. Apart from all that, it is actually quite good.
Through my first playthrough last night, it seems that they are almost done, just a few more optimizations and bug fixing patch that should be finished by the time the full game comes out.
So it is all good.
Im not a fanboy or anything but I dont think WAR will beat WoW, but they will live side by side. Also I think that people could play WAR and WoW at the same time as their similarities and User Interfaces are, of course, similar, so it will be an unnoticeable transition.
