Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
in that case why not just create a new contest for those types of entries. The comedic art contest,or something like that.That way they could seperate the two types of entries.
I sincerely hope we won't get to this point. Creating that kind of arbitrary distinction would confuse people dreadfully.
Otherwise if you don't want to do that,then I have no suggestions.I think they all tried to put as much work as they could in their submissions,but there is only so much skill and experience that everyone can go on.So they make up for it with other abilities,like thier sense of humor.You should know this quite well by now.
Well that's the idea. I tried to broaden my palette for judging to account for this, but of course there's only so much one can do. If you notice the array of winners, you'll find that my judging tastes will vary as they get refined, and as the tides sway to and fro, they will change to go along with this.

Oh, not always. But I have occasionally gone waaaaay back in the pages, found something interesting and posted in it. Usually people don't say anything against it, though. The worst recent example of resurrection I can remember, was someone replying to an already answered thread from back in March... And then it got spammmy... That was bad... At least there is still some potential in the asexuality one.
