You can't compare Runescape and Warcraft...Runescape is in Java, and look at Warcraft. I used to play Runescape tho, have played Warcraft for a good while now tho.
Well I've played them both, neither one is all that great, both are extremely repetative and have their own down sides. All in all I prefer warcraft up to number 3. (^-^)
I have to say Runescape and I have some good reasons...
1. OK c'mon WOW is just boring now...
2. Runescape has some really good stuff in it, and HD version isn't really all that bad.
3.Runescape is more laid back where you can sit back and fight while still having fun.
4. With the new Grand Exchange, Runescape provides younger players with experience as they would need in the stock market, a source of income where most millionaires/billionaires make their money.
5. The quests, if not done with an internet guide, are very creative and while are smaller in quantity than WOW, require players to actually think about how it can be solved, instead of killing everything.
6. Things require work, time, knowledge, and experience to gain, as they would in real life, not instant, or quicker, gratification like in WOW.
If you have read my post, I would like you to consider what I am saying and post something as a reply. I am a veteran Runescape member so I know what I am saying!
Personally I prefer Warcraft for my MMORPG-ing, But Runescape is nice because it is free and so you can go on there with your real-world friends that you don't get to see alot, so you can use it kinda as a way to keep in touch without having to commit to Warcraft.
So really I suppose it depends on your reason for playing an MMORPG.
WOW is better by far.. the graphics are better much better. and the world is much bigger and funnier. and you dont have to do the same thing for ever like in runescape. but then again the runescape quests are better in the way that there is a story in the quest. insted of just (like in WOW) kill this one and this one and 50 of those...
Never played World Of Warcraft. Played Runescape for a month or two,then I got bored. My dad played World Of Warcraft before he went into the military and he said it was cool.

For Runescape to be any fun at all for more than a week, you have to be a member. Which costs about $7.50. WoW for one month is $15 dollars. Wow is definitely way more than twice the game Runescape is.
even though i have a level 67 on runescape (i dont play anymore though) i would say WOW's gameplay and graphics are unarguably better.Besides... #1 online game on earth mean anything???
IMO WoW is better than RS, and don't say that I haven't played both because I have. I have 2 Level 70's on WoW and has a level 60 on RS (He got banned lol).
