Hey, dont know if any of you have noticed the City of Heroes ad floating around the site lately, but i would strongly reccomend clicking it and trying the free fourteen day trial, the game is by far worth giving a try, even if you have never gotten into MMO's before. It's a lot better than some of MMO's (world of suckcraft as example :P)The game offers amazing customization of your hero (or villain)There is PVP which is fun but completely unnecesary, and great storys in the missions. The game is truly great. If any of you see this topic and decide to try it out, may I reccomend you join Triumph Server. Its not the smallest server. But its not so large that you get to much lag. It's also my favorite =) If you try out the game just look around for "beta sword" Which is my character. Any questions about the game like classes (in COH they known as Archetypes) powersets, or anything at all, just ask.

Basically NCSoft make a great job out of their games, never tried this particular one though, not into the theme.
Consider they also made GuildWars.

I still don't see why people would pay to play an online game. I really don't think it's worth it. If you're going to pay for a game, it should be one payment ever, not 12 a year.

Sounds pretty good, might play it. 8 hour download is a bit harsh lol though

I find some of their concepts interesting...like the ability to create your own missions.

I played City of Villains and it's fun, in the 2 weeks trial i got my villain (A mastermind w/ robots) to lvl 22, then i went to some kind of battlefield (Heroes Vs Villains) where you do a quest to get some kind of blue alien monster to summon (3 times only, i think it was called "Shiva&quot and raided a Heroes' base with 4 players more.
The blue monster i summoned + my robots kept the heroes dying ^^.

Trial accounts have been changed a bit, and characters on a trial account can no longer be lvl'd past lvl 14. Also, lvl 14 can be reached in a few hours if you know how to (team with the right people)~ But good job getting that far first time you tried it. ^^
then i went to some kind of battlefield (Heroes Vs Villains)
Bloody Bay, one of the PvP zones (there are four different PvP zones in total as well as an arena function).
3 times only, i think it was called "Shiva"
Shivan Shard, summons a rather strong Shivan Decimator (it's an Elite Boss class ally, that's fairly strong).
and raided a Heroes' base with 4 players more.
So sad they took out the base raids before I joined, could've been fun to try.

I find some of their concepts interesting...like the ability to create your own missions.
That's pretty fun, actually~ And their character creator has a lot of customization options. It's neat.

Server upkeep and stuffs. Doesn't have to be 12 a year, though, can be done in piles.

Alright, enough nerding now. *waddles away from thread*

There's a website called maidmarian.com. My friend said it had good RPG's. I tried it but they don't last long (when it comes to how interesting it is). I REALLY want Fallen Earth, but it's $15 a month. That's $180 a year!
