Actually, I know. It's the same as *your call has been disconnected* oh crud...
Actually, they do know, I can't remember the number I really wasn't paying attention when my mom found it but the company has a machine that 'licks' the Tootsie Pop and counts how many times it licks or something like that. I think it was 187 or something, maybe 1087...I really need to look it up again........
I'd say IP addresses but that would screw people who share coms with family/friends/college 'buddies'.
I had an idea once, people didn't get it when I suggested it though o.O
My idea was that any account with
0 AP had 1 week(or so) to live before it was automatically deleted. If things got bad with these 'ghost accounts', another time limit could be set on Accounts with say.....10 AP and below for a month to live before they were deleted. That way any unused accounts would just be deleted. Referrals are no longer point-givers, most people don't even know what a referral is anymore, there's no point in making ghost accounts(not that making them for referrals was good but...), besides to spam.
Maybe they made an account just to play the games? You don't need an account to play games, they should realize that by the time their 4th 0 AP account has been deleted.
Or maybe they made some points and forgot their password/went on vacation/ect.? I think the AP deletion should be 0 AP to 10 AP, maybe 15 AP even. The deletion timer gives you a week to make a forum post at most, and a whole month to make 10/15 AP, if you can't do that by talking a little on the community or making some friends to chit-chat, you can try again. If you forgot your password, deletion=problem solved anyway, you could(this goes for any situation) remake your profile with any password and even have the same username(because your old one would be deleted), sure all your(very few though) comments would be deleted, but if you didn't make 10/15 AP even then they probably weren't that all-star anyway, because getting a merit gives you 25 AP, which is way past quota. So really, there's no actual harm done, maybe a couple friends lost but you obviously haven't been talking to them much since, once again I say this stupidly, you didn't make 10/15 AP!
That's my idea, I think this really should only be implemented should the ghosts be a problem, but it couldn't hurt to do something about them sooner because everyone's complaining. Although I
do see more whine than cheese at this party, cheese being the only thing to have if you're doing the long drive home >_>
You didn't make 10/15 AP!
