I have seen many people try to take away what we're truly inside. We come form another country where you only speak one Lagrange and those people don't like it.Being bilingual has been turned against many people and i think that's intolerable!
They are ridiculing you because you have a Mexican heritage? Oh man, not Florida too.. I hear Indiana is hitting them too... Hey Juan, be Trilingual and come live in Japan, it's better =)
It is very important to know two languages or more. That's why colleges in the U.S. require 2 years of foreign languages.
I agree knowing languages is important but colleges do not require you to know a foreign language. Some high schools require you to take foreign classes to graduate. Most colleges don't mind but you will have to take a foreign class while in college. That is why most people want to get it out of the way in high school.
I think upon initially moving to e new country a bilingual person could be considered lower class economically because they are just getting settled and starting a better life. But usually after time passes, or with the next generation, the families quickly rise to the top. The second language, and immigrant work ethic really propels them to the top.
Bilingualism? I have seen many people try to take away what we're truly inside. We come form another country where you only speak one Lagrange and those people don't like it.Being bilingual has been turned against many people and i think that's intolerable! Why and what made these people think that way?
Being able to speak more than one language in the U.S. can make you rich. There are always jobs for intepreters.
