I've listened to many bands, but out of all of them, AC/DC is the greatest band, with their genius guitar riffs and strange antics live

My favorite band is probably Linkin Park. I know they're popular, but I can actually explicate my reasoning rather than just state my opinion. I like Linkin Park because of their diversity. When they first started off in the mid to late 90s, nu metal really didn't even exist yet. I mean, let's face it, when you hear or see the term nu metal, what band do you think of? Linkin Park is definitely one of if not the biggest names in that genre. At the time, it was more innovative than most music. Now, they have branched out and experimented with different genres a bit and are 'softening up' as some would say; but this doesn't have to be a bad thing. I really like the directions in which they are taking themselves. This experimentation is a good thing for the band because it leads to musical diversity. This diversity and ability to change is what allows them to stay successful despite an ever-changing music industry. Therefore, for these reasons, Linkin Park is my favorite band.

Everyone is clearly entitled to their own opinions. Everyone also should explain why so-and-so is their favorite band so this isn't spam.

yea i like linkin park , however while they are always gona be in my hall of fame , my favourite band right now has got to be slipknot!
my reason? well when i first started listening to metal and stuff i heard metallica , and frankly i thought they really sucked , but when my friends insisted i should listen to slipknot i went crazy , they make everything seem so ... much better , i mean ive been going through a rough time and i didnt know what to do with all the pain , but when i listen to slipknot , i feel screw the pain and take it like a man , and it just has that effect on me! and theyre songs actually make sense and some of the songs my life can relate to thus i love this band

Couldn't make up my mind.

Most of those are good, but you gotta take out all those gay bands. Such as The Legion of Doom. They aren't really a real band. They just mix-and-match other peoples songs to make them seem original. Along with like Yellowcard and Taking Back Sunday. Just gay new bands that are just singing about their "girl problems" and how much they want so-and-so back to love them.

I agree brooksroolsyo, I guess some those bands are pretty gay.
