So far, I tried biological and hydro. I gone melee (found it killing much faster than poison) for bio and cold blooded (using 0 focus with many stacked debuffs setting up for a shatter) for my ice. Does anyone want to argue that there are better builds out there or talk about psychological builds?

Well I have a Biological Build, it's taken me up to the Police Colonel so far in the last zone.
4/4 Vicious Strike
2/2 Break
2/2 Disrupt
2/2 Wound
3/4 Immobilize

4/4 Integrity
1/4 Savagery (currently working on this one)
3/3 Sample Blood (I would rather take Savagery though, this is useless for me)
3/3 Evolution
That is my spec, and now I will tell you what's on my action bar
Leading Strike
Vicious Strikex2
Break
Disruptx2(recommended 2 or more)
Immobilize
Wound

I hope this helps!

This is biological tree btw

Um.... that's not a very strong build you have up there. Immobilize isn't that useful and disrupt isn't that useful either. You are obviously going for the physical bio based build. So you can either focus on strength or speed. FOr a strength physical bio build, you want to put good points into savagery and get predator mode. In predator mode you get healed full focus EVERY TURN, so you can use the Destroy ability every other turn (420% of your strength is the damage), your second best damage dealer should be either vicious strike or slash as a strength based physical bio, you can do that in between turns during predator mode and when you don't have predator mode on

As for a speed based physical bio, you again have to decide between slash and vicious strike. Vicious strike has a bit of healing ability going for it,but slash is stronger in the end. For this you once again put points into savagery, predator mode isn't neccesary, but if you want, youc an use it. THe primary ability you need is shadow blend, which greatly increases your speed, so max it out ASAP.

For both builds you should still put in leading strike and break as well as others depending on the situation as you can't depend on just nuking the opponent all day.

Anyways, to the original posters question. FOr pure DPS (damage per second) a poison bio build gets up there. By the time you get to Z5, your poison will do 200+ damage per turn for only one poison debuff, you can stack up to 8 of htem on (since you can only equip envenom 5 times and it has a 5 round cooldown, meaning after you use envenom 5 times, you wait one turn before you can use it again), which means 1600+damage per turn PLUS the damage you do per turn by casting said envenoms (which can be 2000 damage if you have enough poison piercing or under 100 damage if the enemy is too high a level for the piercing to be that effective). THat said, the poison bio buildgets off to a very slow start in sonny 2.

I only have my cold hydro build up to Z2, so I can't comment, but a hot hydro build is just constant hard hitting. All the skills are dependent on strength (usually 280% strength or more when maxed out). The core of the hot hydro build is regulate (or avenger form) and hotblood (the one that takes away 10 focus per turn but increases strength by 50%). As you may have noticed, there are no hot hydro skills that use any focus, the only reason you need to keep focus is for your three main damage dealing attacks, wreck, demolish, and decimate, becuase they scale with focus, decimate is the best of them since there is the ability that increases DOT by a good amount (the name of the skill is slipping me, but it's a passive ability), wreck is the second best because it has a chance to "severely wound" the target, which also counts as DOT. Hot neurology might be hard for some to embrace as if you notice you take a lot more damage for more focus, but you don't need focus for any of your attacks. However, since those aforementioned 3 skills scale with focus, the more focus you have, the more damage they do. Hot hydro will be hitting 2k+ every attack by the time it is into Z5, that includes the buff/debuff attacks of impair and bloodshed. So it's just never ending hard hits, unlike the physical bio build, which hits hardest in predator form and/or in shadow blend.

I've only tried the electric psycho, but boy is it powerful. By the time I was into Z5, when transformed into the electric beast (name slips me), I could do over 4k with shock therapy, and 2.5k+ with electric storm (2.5k for a move that costs no focus and regains 40 focus over 2 turns, impressive). I would probably go as far as to say that the electric psycho does the most DPS in the game, as it can keep up the hard hits like the hot hydro but hits even harder. HOWEVER, and this is important, your HP will be REDICULOUSLY low, I had below 1k hp in Z5 (which gave me some trouble), if you use vitality based equips your HP will be normal but you won't have that amazing DPS anymore, so it's a tradeoff you will have to learn to make depending on your opponents. the electric psycho is what I would call a glass cannon, it's the most powerful, but also the most fragile.

Isn't this a horrible build? Immobilize and Destroy does damage in the thousands with each time you use it.

You can't use immobilize and destroy that often, and a shadow blend+vicious strike is better than immobilize. In fact, immobilize shouldn't be used as a skill for damage, destroy+predator form and slash/vicious strike+shadow blend are the best ways to go (add sharp senses to each to improve damage further).

Anyways, there is a difference between poison build and physical build. With my aforementioned poison build, you stack on envenoms, and evnetually, the enemy will take over 1000 damage from the poison every turn, add on to whatever damage you do by yourself as well as your teammates.

Seriously, look at it, you can't keep hitting high hits with just aphysical bio build, you do damage in bursts, you do the high damage while buffed with shadow blend or predator form.

Seriously, if you remember from Sonny 1 how the baron could stack voids on you or how ignition could stack ignitions on you, the same principle now applies to you and envenom. Sure, your direct damage isn't in the 2-3k range, but eventually your periodic damage (damage over time) will be, and plus, you can sustain that DOT by just adding constant envenoms, while in a physical bio build you struggle to keep the damage up since predator form has a heck of a cooldown and shadow blend also has a decent cooldown.

I experimented with the poison build and hated the two long term poisons (the one before infect and the one before toxic form). Infect turned into my main attack (which was even better than any physical move I seen so far), toxic form as a heal, crystalize as my stun (overpowered in my opinion), and got every single passive that supported poison as well as the one granting focus per turn.

I think this is the best character I have created so far; averaging 1.7k damage per turn, a stun that lasts 4 turns, a heal that allows you to tank almost everything, and self-sustaining focus. The only time I truly need to use my +50 focus attack is when I depend on Destroy rather than Infect due to high poison resistance; and even then, I only need to use it once before full focus. Bio easily outranks hydro now.

The only poisons you should use are envenom and infect, anesthetic is almost useless. Crystalize is an awful stun, it stuns the target but you can't damage them. It's the only two turn stun in the bio class, but still not worth it IMO, I'd rather just spend a couple skill points and get break instead.

Seriously, I can see how people would not like the poison bio build, but in the end game (we're talking Z5 here), it is POWERFUL. Use sample blood first, then the toxic form monster, and stack on envenoms, see how much DOT you get, it's quite amazing really.

Anyways, you ahve what we would call a hybrid bio build, which is respectable and useful since both poison and the physical attacks only depend on strength for their damage. However, items are a challenge (poison piercing vs. strength...) if you go hybrid. Going by your statements so far, you arn't a big fan of damage over time, unless it's like infect, which is like a... delayed nuke (80% strength damage the next turn is pretty good damage). I respect the fact that you don't like long term damage over time moves like envenom, which stack to become incredibly powerful, but you shouldn't be hacking away at the poison build just because you don't like it.

I myself have to admit, the poison build was hard to respect at first, weak as shit damage during Z1 and Z2, below average at Z3, decent at Z4, but at Z5, your damage over time is rediculous. If you don't have the patience to try such a build, that is fine, if you don't want to go throught he grueling process of depending on envenom through the first 3 zones, just go through those using physical, then respec when you want to give an envenom based build a try. Because seriously, your definitely underrating the power of a poison based build in the endgame.

I've gone through twice with a poison bio and a cold hydro. I've not messed with psycho yet, so only speaking of what I know, I'd have to say cold hydro beats poison bio at the end, but poison bio wins at the beginning. My poison bio blew through the baron like a wet paper bag (okay a really NASTY looking paper bag, but you get the idea) while I got ao frustrated with cold hydro I almost scrapped it. I finally retooled it with a subversion and an extra flash freeze and beat him and after that, my bio took off like a bat outta hell. The rest of the game was laughably easy. Full on cold piercing, with full flash freeze hypothermia and glacier as well as full cold neuro and guardian form FTW.

You do know that shatter is the core of cold hydro, right? Slap on three ice debuffs and then shatter the enemy....

By the looks of it you may have been doing this on easy level.

You didn't upgrade it. If it's maxed, it's a 4 turn stun, which is your version of the Mayor's team sacrifice. It knocks someone out of the game (I pick the one with most hp, so if AI is on reckless, they don't waste moves attacking it) so you can pick them out one by one. You also get to equip it twice on your action bar. I wouldn't since the cooldown is 4 turns, but it's a great tool for obtaining time. Since I always overtrain my characters for the Baron, I didn't face anything too dangerous, but 4 turns to heal, buff your characters, and let all your other moves cooldown sounds great. I'm just gushing over this move and how easy the last two zones has become for me because of it.

I tried it during zone 3, and it was modest. I tried again after I beat the game, and the enemy kept using "recovery" which disables all periodic damage. I'm sorry, I just don't see the magic in it.

I focus on Infect and Crystalize, so I didn't have much problem with equipment. I admit that this makes my Destroy weak, but it's my last resort, only against those with high poison resistance. Envenom was just not worth my time. Please, try out Crystalize. If anything, you can heal your characters in the meanwhile and plant Infect the turn right before he gets out of his stun.

Ay, my bad, I never used crystalize so I never saw the effects of crystalize when maxed out. I do admit, crystalize would be useful agianst bosses on heroic mode (for god's sake... I had to respec my hot hydro to a cold hydro just to beat the damn baron on heroic, that damn SOB took me about 15 minutes to beat since all I could do was debuff/stun/regulate the baron, and ice wall my teammates).

Recovery is quite an annoying move to go against as a poison user, same with antidote (used by specialist in Z5), that said, there are always enemies that don't have such counters.

Also, if you noticed, Infect and Envenom do the same direct damage (10% of strength and instinct), so with high poison piercing, you can get them both to hit over 1k on just the direct damage, then afterwards it's just a matter of 345% strength damage in one turn vs. 65% strength damage for 9 turns. If you do the multiplication, envenom ends up doing a total of 585% strength damage for DOT. Then if you add on multiple ones, say... five, then you get 325% strength damage per turn.

All in all, it's a matter of whether you can wait for the damage to set in, against bosses, this constant damage will seriously wear them down over time.

Anyways, it seems your build is more based on survivability vs. damage then, since infect really can't compare in damage against a predator form destroy (when strength specced) or a shadow blend vicious strike (when speed specced). But that's alright, much more useful against bosses and probably easier to get along in heroic difficulty.

I got this set-up:

-Predator form
-Leading strike
-Destroy
-Break
-Immobilize x 2
-Crystalize
-Disrupt

With:
Vitality: 189
Strength: 351
Instinct: 246
Speed: 183

Seems to be quite effective since I almost always hit around 1200 with Immobilize and around 3000 with Destroy.

Ok guys im sure your builds are good and all but I have 2 different builds I Use and they both do massive damage every turn.

My first Build is Hyrdo-Hot Blood
He does about 2.5k to 9k damage a turn on the 3 main attacks "Demolish, wreck, Decimate" and on average he does 4.5k damage a hit. This is his Build
Impair (1/4) Pre-req
Hot-Blooded (1/1)
Regulate (1/3) Pre-Req
Wreck (4/4)
Demolish (4/4)
Warm Neurology (4/4)
Avenger Form (1/1)
Restore (1/3) Pre-Req
Reconstruct (1/4) Pre-req
Safe-Guard (1/4) Pre-Req
Mirage (1/4) Pre-Req
Stiff Upper Lip (5/5)
Decimate (4/4)
Lasting Pain (4/4)
1 point left over
Combo Bar
Demolish x2
Wreck x2
Decimate x2
Vapour Cannon
Avenger Form

This is a pure straight out damage build so Veriduz has to be set to heal on tough battles. Thi build does Ver Very good Damage every turn but the down side is it is low on speed which makes u miss every few turns and that can be a booboo in a tough battle. Put all attributes into strength until u have about 500 and that is with gear and then the rest goes into vitality or speed u choose.

the best job there is is speed bio...

2 max crystilize
2 max slash
1 max withdrawl
1 leading strike
1 shadow shifter
and all attributes on speed

then just for pvp crystilize sonny, shadow style, slash his partners, then crystilize again, and then shadow and withdrawl sonny, u win.

On my last Post I forgot to mention Open with Demolish and then depending on ur target use Avenger form or another demolish. I use those 3 as my starts always sometimes in different orders but always start tha way b/c they can give u 3 buffs that will alltogether increase ur strength 24% and increase damage 15% then use wreck or Decimate in any order. When avenger form fades use Vapour cannon to keep up your Focus.

Ok My next Build is Psyco-Elctro
This guy is a very good build I still cant decide which one I like better. While in Wrath Form it does any where between 2.5k-5k a shot with Shock Therapy. Average Hit does about 4k. Here is the set Up.

Shock Therapy (3/3)
Terify (1/3)Pre-Req
Free Will (4/4)
High Voltage (1/4) Pre-Req
Eectric Storm (4/4)
Wrath Form (1/1
Charged Blood (5/5)
Traumatize (2/2)
Dark Echoes (1/4) Pre-Req
Destruction (1/4) Pre-Req
Salvation (1/4) Pre-Req
Tenacity (5/5)
This build leaves u with 5 extra points that i cant really see a good way for me to utilize them. U could put one into Salvation and give your team a heal buff but other than that nothing. Haunt is good for Baron Battle.
Combo Bar
Shock Theray x3
Electric Storm
Free Will x2
Tramatize
Wrath Form

This is a Very good build for a lot of reasons. Main reason Shock Therapy NEVER MISSES!!!! ever so u will always hit and do damage. Reason number 2, In Wrath form Shock Therapy crits 80% of the time so u will almost always do 4k -5k damage a shot. U also have a shield when your health gets low (Free Will) and Vapour canon is a great Focus regeneration tactic. Put all attribute points into instinct untill it hits 600 and that is wth gear on. the rest goes into vitaity.

I open up the fight by putting on wrath form, then i pick the target with the lowest health and fire off all 3 Shock Therapy if it dies before u fire all 3 move onto the next target. When all 3 have been fired Hit them with Electro Storm and then hit them agian with all 3 SHock therapy. Very Simple. If a target buffs with a high damage buff Trauma them. If your health gets low or a team mates gets low send out free will. Very good build.
