I'm gonna go with death metal. I listen to alot more death than black and it's just easier for me to find a death metal band I like. Right now I'm kinda going through a black metal phase though, I've been listening to alot of Burzum and Darkthrone.

I like a lot death metal, but i think black metal kicks ass !!! i like the true black !! old school ! !! !! a lot like burzum and darkhtrone like nickelbacksucks !!! but i like black metal underground !!! it rox !!!!

Well...I like Black metal and Death metal,Black Metal has a great History,Death Metal is popular and not bad at all.If you ask me no one wins because they are the same good.Try Urskumug they are a Death/Black Metal,they're really amazing you can find them here.

Sanny is right !! black metal have more history, and the lyrics aof black metal ( antichrist lyrics ) are better !! brutal death metal or gringore have heavier sounds .. but black is better i think !!

I cannot call myself a real Black metal or Death metal guru, but Black metal has deeper yrics (generally speaking). One example is Lost Wisdom by Burzum. Short, concise, and poetic in its own way.
