Yeah, a lot of people that have PCs use that, and a lot of people with Macs use Garageband.

Garageband works pretty well. I have used it on a couple occasions, and it has a lot of different options and is very user friendly. Of course most Mac programs are quite user friendly!

i usually think it out in my head then play certain notes in the sound thats in my head and i memorize the song then show my keyboard teacher. she says i have a gift O_o

Yeah, I write some music in a similar fashion: I set up the program and play on the piano until I play something that sounds fairly good, then I record a one-track piano piece and build off of that.

I use Fruity Loops. Though I can't make anything worth listening to. It's still fun though.

Fruity loops? Never heard of that one... Reason is still my favourite music program, it is extremey versitile, relatively easy to learn, and quite fun as well

It's pretty simple, yet capable of many things. It's also inexpensive.
