Every now and then, somebody comes along with the suggestion that the ArmorGames community should be turned into an MMO community. While thinking about the strength of community spirit in AG is nice, this doesn't really make sense because MMOs and forums are completely different things.
Which is to say it'd make our lives easier if you understand why we don't take up this suggestion. In short, please don't make topics about how AG should be made into an RPG.
However if you want to make an RPG based on the ArmorGames community, that's fine.
It probably could turn into a mmo site but might lose interest of the people who like it the way it is now and WOW (world of warcraft) is mainly known as the greatest known mmorpg and people will go for that more than armor games so i would suggest leaving it the way it is.
Armor Games is fine as it is; turning it into an MMORPG would just be odd. You'd just walk around to different places to play different games. The forums are good for text based RPGs anyway, which are just as good and able to be more imaginative than a flash game.
the site would be to Slow for the people with Slower Internet.It would be to complicated to design to i mean if the users with A LOT of AP play that game they would finish it (if theres a ending) really fast because they have high ranks , and plus the thing with our Armatar would be to complicated to ,because everyday a lot of users change their Armatars it would take too much time until the in game "hero" generates and stuff .All-in-all its a good idea.
I think it's kind of dumb, I mean the whole point of this site is to play alot of different games, just not one big RPG. Also, they would have to change their name from Armorgames to armorgame
Im going to be making an RPG using a lot of characters from armor games. I know its not an armor games RPG but i just felt i should mention it. I hang around in the forums alot (especially the forum games) and am trying to use this to create characters for the game. Its still going to take a long time but when its finally finished im going to try and make it as epic an RPG as possible. (eg. Current lvl cap is 360 and is still going.) Though this last part should probably go in the programming help i figured that i could use a pvp system with codes. So if someone knows how i can put that in then please tell me.
As to a Armorgames RPG i dont think there should be AP gains from it. However i do think it would be a good idea if we made it a user created game (preferably MMORPG). We start off with a basic area of the game (eg. a town) as well as a basic character. Then make it that people can pay to add their own stuff in (areas, characters, weapons, etc). Different costs for different stuff (eg. weapon/armor $5, area (combat) $10,area (city)$40) It would help fund AG. (or at least pay for the cost of the running of the game) It would have what almost everyone wants because they can pay for it to have what they want, It would give people a way to chat quickly with other people on AG, and would still allow the forums to have a use. What do you think?

Maybe it would be a good idea and a big leap forward for Armor Games, but somehow I think AG isn't ready for such a big step... it's a Flash Games website and them to host a MMORPG it would mean a huge effort and needed expansion of manpower and resources...
I just don't see that happening in the near future I'm afraid...

Let's say (for the sake of argument) there would be an AG-RPG started based on the AG community... that would mean they would base it on the ranks of the users, right?
This would mean a change in the ranking system, because you couldn't have so many kings in one country (AG) together and it would give the newer users a reason to mope and wine about the ranks... 'I wanna become a knight too!' is something often heard then if you ask me!
Plus... there would be a whole new reason for users to spam the website, in order to gain more AP's as fast as they can to achieve a higher ranking and that's something we want to avoid alltogeher, agreed?
