When you click on the control panel button and go to update your profile, the E-mail text has an * next to it. This is left over from the account creation screen, but the text at the bottom that says it will not be visible to other people is not there at the control panel. It would be nice if you could add that text there, so people know that it won't show up. Or you could just remove the *, that would be fine.
And I can foresee this getting locked, probably by Carlie, with the message "We will fix this when we can get around to it, but it isn't that high priority right now." Or something along those lines. I just wanted to call it to someone's attention.
Hmm, I guess that could get a bit annoying but I don't really see how it is a big deal. Thanks for bringing it up though. Maybe they'll fix it, since it's not that big.
New users should have already known that their account information is safe, and with that, there is nothing to fear from having it show up. It's all in the privacy policy where their account information will never be shown or used by the staff, along with it being revealed to no one but yourself.
And that asterisk next to E-mail? That just shows that your account is important information, say if you were to forget your password, or if you needed to contact an admin. You wouldn't need to use any other means of mail, such as MSN or those console accounts for messaging.
