I'll stick with my Lite. GBA slot is 99% of what I'm on. I only got 2 DS games and 12 GBA games. So, for me, it's a waste of money and pointless. Besides, 4mm decrease in thickness and and an overall bigger hand held is pointless. And the camera is 0.3 Mega pixels, most disposable cameras get better than that, if not all and there much cheaper.
Its got alot of great things about it (bigger screen, better speakers, longer life) but its basically a DS with a crappy camera stuck to it with scotch tape...
I don't think its worth the cost to improve. Personally I would rather just keep my original DS
YES!! FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS!
The small, fragile structure... the weak, poor sound quality... the fact that there is no GBA slot at all... the fact that Nintendo forgets that we have CAMERAS. The strong, blinding light that hurts the eyes at night... both DSI and DSLite are horrible! Only the old, regular DS can be truly called the king!
I have a DS lite and love it! I hate the original, as it is bulky and annoying. I think that whether you like the DSi is really dependent on how old you are, and what features matter most to you. I think it is cool, but I wish they had kept the GBA slot because I still play some of those games and I dont want to ahve to lug around my gameboy advance SP and a DSi if I were to get one.

UMMMM, you can adjust the brightness quite easily on the DS Lite. It is way better than the original. The DSI is arguabley worse than the DS Lite, although it again depends on the features that matter most to you.
In what ways? Yes, you can change the brightness, and I guess that is a plus. However, a regular DS has a bigger, better, stronger stereo sound system ; it's bulkier, which means durability is a plus, while the lite is small, flabby, and fragile-- the hinges that support the top-half of the lite isn't very strong, my proof is, I'm looking at one that has both torn off, and when that happens, the top can be lifted farther back, and the images are distorted, and parts can indeed disappear, while the top-half doesn't stay still.
In addition to what ShintetsuWA said, I've noticed that the top screen on the original does not scratch as easily. I have the original, my brother has the Lite and his has a huge scratch on his. No clue how it got there, but I think that if I havn't gotten anything like that in 4 years, but he's only had his for a year and it has that then there's a problem.
