I thought it was great. The only thing I really didn't like about it though were its fight sequences. The new thing in Hollywood is to shake the camera a fuck ton when anything is happening in a fight scene. That got kind of annoying and they did jack the T-rex (from Jurassic Parks) voice and lower it for the snow monster that attacked captain kirk. It had a great use of the old catch phrases and didn't overly do it, and the way the characters were introduced fit perfectly. It sets it up as an alternate time line prequel so it doesn't really ruin anything the hardcore fans would like about the other movies. Yet it is still for the casual trek fan as well over all I would probably give it a b+

Well, it kinda sucked. I am quite neutral. I can't explain why it kinda sucked! It just did. It's a prequel, but still...

i thought it wasnt bad (im not really a fan of the old ones and kinda think they sucked) i mean it wasnt a brilliant film but it was far better than i expected it too be

i didnt think it was really that bad ive never been a fan of star trek but my dad wanted to see it so i went.

anyways overall it was fairly good way better than what i thought it was going to be like

I have to admit... I am a trekkie (or trekker, whatever).
I saw the movie recently and I thought it was good. I especially liked how they brought back stuff from old episodes. It was a lot of fun.

I've never liked star trek. Star wars, all the way.

i think it loosely fit in with the story of captian kirk and all them guys but i didn't like the ending

it is preatty good

the action never stopped it was like

lolz. Not to mention the bloodiest barfight I've seen. Remember his nose afterwards? Wow.

But still a good movie.

It was good. I can't explain why, but it was good. BUT

Scotty was unlike his character in the first series
McCoy was pretty strange
Kirk was OK
Spock was an exact copy of the original Spock
