Your task is to stop this. A Journey in a Huge,detailed world in this game. 10/10 from me highly recommended for thoose who like Fantasy games with swords,bows and magic!
I agree. Half-life is one of the greatest games of all-time. It has an easy, normal, and hard. Basicly on easy, you can take alot of damage, normal is normal damage received, and hard is increased damage received.
Some of them are new, it has 5 in the series so far, not including the mods.
It has humans, aliens, technology, and a war between the combine. (Aliens)

I haven't been playing video games as much lately, but one of my all time favorites was Star Wars Republic Commando. I know, kinda an obscure game in terms of sales, but it was the first game I played online and it was the best I've seen for online game play. Single player was crap though, so it didn't have a large player base. It was a star wars game, pretty much describes who's in it. I'd say its a medium game, not too complex but you'd get your ass kicked if you hadn't practiced it before.
As for some more widely played games, I'd have to go with Dawn of War or Company of Heroes for strategy games, KoTOR or Guild wars for RPG and some of the old CoDs for FPS.
