I think it's this thread is a good idea coz I'm trying like you to find new bands to listen to. I listen to grunge and mostly older bands.
One of my favorite bands is Opeth who play progressive death metal. They are really good but they've been playing for 17 years I think. The newest band that I listen to is Mastodon, who released their first album in 2002. Other than them I don't listen to any new bands.
