4 PLAYER SPLIT-SCREEN. I've noticed that many games have completely r.aped us people who can't system link, leading to games like COD: WaW and Left 4 Dead to not support 4 player co-op in some areas. Is it too much to ask?
Well, a development studio is going to take into account what % of the population is going to use these features, and how many work-hours it's going to take to get it into the game, bug free. It's probably just not cost-effective.
WORDDDD!!! nonconformist: you know what i am talking about when i say my new game that i bought, Battlefield Bad Company, doesnt have 4 player multiplayer! I have 4 bros and a lot more friends where we always hang out. This is our thing, we hang out, go somewhere, get a game of football or basketball goin, then when we are all tired, we come inside to play an exiting game. So i saw BF BC and thought it would be awsome to play it with my friends and the single player is what i really wanted too. But, sadly, there was no split screen.
Today, i dont know WHY game developers are ommitting one of the important keys to a good game! Yea, not many lonely people need it, but everybody who does co-op and system link knows how much fun it is, especially if the guy that you killed is next to you and you can laugh in his face. Plus, i dont want x box live cuz it cost money and i dont use my x box all the time.
Sadly, this happens, but there are great split screen multiplayer games. My personal favorites are Halo 2 or three, Call of Duty 4, even though i dont have it but played it at my friends house, Call of duty 2, Burnout Paradise, and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. All of them are AMAZING GAMES. I do hope great games add splitscreen to them. I love it so much.
You know. 4-player split-screen means you have to have a big TV screen and it's still hard to see what you're doing. Halo 3 still has it though. But only when playing matches with friends. Plus, have any of you heard of the Metroid Prime series? I mean it was a great game. Puzzles, FPS, skill. But like knows about it. Nintendo cursed it maybe. I've had all 3 of the Metroid Primes on Platforms that is... And don't say i'm a nerd for this.
i miss the good old days of 4-player split screen. im not much of an online game player (i prefure to see the people im playing with) and i would like to see other local multiplayer games besides FUCKING! ROCK BAND....
