A little old now, but I think that this topic still has some weight. Just wondering if you approved of Konami's cancellation of the (formerly) upcoming docu-game Six Days in Fallujah. Feel free to elaborate on any opinions that you might have.
Six Days in Fallujah was a "docu-game" in which you played as a member of a company of marines in Fallujah, in Iraq. It was to be made by Konami but was canceled because it was expected to be too controversial.
That sounds like a realy good idea. I don't think it should have been canceled. They have made games about normandy and everything else so why is this controversial?
Well, the Iraq War is still ongoing, not 60 years old. Also, there was talk of making another campaign mode, where you played as the terrorists. Even so, soldiers who had been in the battle thought the game was a great idea. The taking of Fallujah was one of the American's first major successes in the war.
