As you may know, me and Sense have started a website called Dungeons and Dragons Online. It has been very successful and is open for all to use!
The problem is, we have a ratio of about 10 players for every DM on the website. We could have multiple sessions going at the same time if we had enough DM's but we don't have enough. Plenty of willing players are ready to go and they are just waiting for a DM.
This doesn't mean that we don't want players but we are extremely appreciative of any DM's that are able to help out.
So if you enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons or can DM (even better) come on over to Dungeons and Dragons Online and set up or join a session in our forums.
Oh and just in case you didn't know, we play online via things like Skype and MSN. The website is dedicated to bringing people together to be able to do it.
I also meant to name the topic: (D&D) Looking for DMs to play with.
lol D&D...I used to play the version with books man....It was always fun Literally doing anything you want as long as you had the correct skills...then we changed it up and went into a more modern time with guns and no monsters, it was fun......but this is about the MMO version so Im gonna quit talking, my friend the magical Dm would get mad sometimes and unleash something 10 levels higher than me, or trap every chest I came along (by the way we arent super nerds that stand up and say "I AM ZALTHOR LEVEL 50 BATTLE MAGE DRAGON MASTER" and we dont act out) by the way by trapping a chest I mean, "You open the chest and, you see a blinding flash" He also came up with a fake health potion one time when I called him gay and actually meant it, he said "Ok you drink the health potion but as you finish the last drop you feel pressure in your head, your head explodes, you are now dead" he went to college now........fun times
I don't know, being a DM is not as fun for me. I prefer to play with books though, it allows for more freedom with the game, and the game was created to let its players have freedom. The online part detracts from this, I think.
No no no this isn't a MMO! This is exactly the same as real life D&D but you don't have to meet up in person. You use books and everything but you just play over a chat system with other people. I can see the confusion as there is another Dungeons and Dragons Online that is a downloadable MMO.
The one I'm talking about is the exact same as the original except you play over the internet, using a chatroom.
Guys, he already said that he's not talking about an actual online game, but about a group of people who play with each other via messenger programs/chats.
So nothing that needs to be downloaded unless you don't have the chat programs...
Hm. I would be interested in helping you if I had the focus and ideas required to DM, but I don't atm. Good luck finding more DMs, though~
We're actually expanding rapidly. People prefer to play rather than DM which is why there are so many more players than DMs. If you know a DM, please send them over to our site and we'd appreciate it greatly.
