I think you should be able to "subscribe" to forum topics so that it's easier to find ones you post in often. Instead of having to dig through the list and remember what category your post was in, you could have a quick link that directed you to the one you wanted.
If you like a certain thread, you could always just copy the thread URL and put it in your about page to save it. With a (seemingly) endless amount of page space for your profile, you can have as many thread URLs as possible.
