I was looking around google for finding different sites that have members interact with the graphic arts. I tried many times, and eventually, I typed in "gfx pictures" to make the search simpler. To my amazement, I found that there was a site that supported a forum AND many kinds of art. My interest peaked, I clicked on the link and browzed it. After wards, I was both furious and confused at what I just saw.
One of your members has taken pieces of my art, or sigs.
Take the first two letters of my name, Xl, and the first two letters of my second name, A9, and you'll find that 4 of the pieces have those letters etched inside, which should be evident that they don't belong to him.
There are even pieces that I don't recognize. Maybe from other artists that he/she has found?
I don't know if you understand, but there are reasons why people put their names on their artwork. It is proof that the accomplishment is theirs, and I'm sure I speak for others when I say we don't take too kindly to people who take art and present it as their own.
So can someone in charge or someone who manages this site kindly explain to me why you let people present pieces of artwork freely, when obviously there is a completely different initial on that sig that clearly doesn't belong to him/her?
Could you please link us the art that you say was stolen and who stole it please? This will help us out a lot. Also, can you please post the original home of the artwork, the place he stole it from? This will help us out as well. I have not been informed of anybody stealing any art, so I will talk to the other moderators about this.
I'm going to assume that "he" obtained it through photobucket, since the ones he has are also in my own. I do not post my works on random websites, for fear of editing and selling of works, which some sites actually support.
Obviously, the link I gave you points out the person involved, and what sigs he blindly stole.
Looking at the date of which he has posted the art, the time was many months AFTER I have uploaded them, so consider that as further proof, if you will.
It would be best for meif you would delete the thread, if possible. I don't want further thieves taking them again.
Ok, I will delete the thread. But first, I need a link to the place where he posted your artwork. Also, I don't see a date on the stuff you linked me. Is there a place that you posted the above art other than on photobucket which might have a date?
The 4 are in there, as well as others that were made from others. Look for the A9 and Xl in the corners, that is my signature with my initials.
Hmm...Photobucket doesn't have dates attached to images it seems. But again, I only place my works on photobucket for many reasons, but I guess you're susceptible to theft at PB as well.
