I know that people say this all the time, but if I don't say it then people won't say it all the time, editing I think would most be helpful for people who need to edit their topic post to update it, I'm not sure how that is done now when they are updated, but I think being able to edit would be helpful

This has been suggested MANY times.

I think it's a good feature. I remember a mod saying it was on a list of planned features but they're not implementing it right away.

PS: What's an OP :P

What's the point? It's the same thing as posting again.

Yes, but double posting is generally against the rules. It's just like spamming and it adds to your post count for no reason.

That's what mrtim is saying about Editing Posts, that it should have the original and the Edited version those are two which means 2 posts. It doesn't have to add to your AP but its still kind of Spam, it takes up more room and can revive a thread.

No, post editing does not "revive" a thread.

That doesn't mean two posts, it counts as one, it just shows the other one.

That means the edit would only be for ADDING details to a post, not removing it. You don't necessarily have to copy your entire post when you edit it.

I just say no to Editing! I'm pretty sure if you misspell a word everyone will know what you mean. And if something offensive is posted, you can't change it or "try" to change it. And if you had something to add to your old post? Well, then wait for someone else to post then add. Patience is the key for that one.

That's not what this is about.

We've already said that the original post would be left there and the edit would be ADDED.

Why? Okay say you're running the poetry contest. You accidentally post too soon and this is your post:

Okay, good job. Good luck next week, the theme is L

And no one has any idea what the theme is. Are you going to wait for some troll/spammer to post that you're a retard for saying that the theme is "L"? No, you would have to double-post to see that the theme is Love.

I doubt that Editing will be on. Just saying. Maybe if people actually don't check their posts before submitting it seeing that their post has a random letter in it without noticing. =P

Lol. Well sometimes it is an accident that you click submit to early, or your computer can randomly click it (my computer is seriously having issues doing that).

I'm just saying it's a good feature that could be implemented one AG gets all these glitches straightened out

I think it would be a good idea, and i don't see any issues in doing it

We can only know in time if even the glitches will be fixed. We all know how long it takes to fix those.

I think editing would be helpful if some1 forgot something to put in their post and think it would be wasting space to post another post. It can also help if u accidently pressed Enter or submit before you finished typing what you needed to type. it can also help if you made some typos (like i did alot in this post) and you want to fix them

OP = opener (IE topic opener, person who makes the thread).

Actually, it means Original Poster.

Bug, stop making threads that you know aren't going to get anywhere.

Actually, it means Original Poster.
Or Original Post or Opening Post...

This suggestion has been discussed numerous times.

It is being considered. The pros and cons are known. There is no reason to continue to make threads about it.
