For many years the neighbors to the south have faced political turmoil and corruption, with drug wars spilling into the streets of major cities.

Poor, uneducated mexicans and their families cross the border from an unauthorized zone. They will climb mountains, cross rivers, and run from the authorities to make it into the US.

Of course, once they're in they have no money or job. So what do they do? They move into poor communities. They get menial jobs, ones that college students attempt to get. They force teenagers looking for work to quit as they accept lower wages.

Many times, illegals will rape, murder, steal and trade drugs in utter disregard for the rule of the law. They put their undisciplined children into our schools, where they will cause trouble as they have zero interest to learn.

Whose going to take care of them when a crime happens? When they go to jail? When they go to court? When they are hurt? Who pays for their attorneys, their medical bills or their protection when they will break the law at will?

We, the American citizens do. In many states, they get full benefits of citizenship without the extra responsibilities and without paperwork calling them a citizen.

I pay my taxes, I vote, I work hard to put food on the table and keep a roof over my head. Why should my job be stolen from someone who illegally entered this country? Why should my hard-earned money be given to someone who breaks the law?

The constitution says we must guarantee the rights of citizens, not illegals.

I have no problem with anyone, as long as they pay taxes. Because they don't pay them, we have to pay for them. That's my only complant. Outsourcing only works for a limited time, then companies start to fail, and the market crashes.

Quick term lesson, Immigrant is someone who comes for life, Alien is a temporary visitor that leaves shortly after... There's a mix in both, so feel free to build upon vocabulary

wow.just wow. not everyone of these illegals r drug trafickers n gang mems.some are just families/people who want to escape the violence in mexico!. o, and the quote,' they have no interest to learn'? las ttime i checked, most normal families want their kids educated and healthy. yes, some of those coming across r traffickers and the such, but not every1 of them are! and take america for example. not as many people lived here before, then it was discovered. we came, took the native americans land, pushed them back, took that too. they fight back, we kill them. what would of happened if the pilgrims on the mayflower were completely slaughtered by the native american tribes? no, they were friendly. anothe rthing, america is MADE of immigrants. perhaps your ancestors came on a boat from europe or wherever your bloodline is? what would of happened if they got turned around right as they reached the great 'america'? the US wouldnt be so great and populous as it is now if we turned back every1 seeking a new life here! so i do believe there should b a wall, with as posted before, bars underneath to prevent tunnelling, but a limited amount of people each year should be allowed in each year/month/ whatever.

Look at that man, you caught me. I'll admit that I sometimes skip words to sound a bit friendlier.

It would however be accurate to say that they do not place the same amount of value on education as we do. In Mexico it is very common for kids to leave school at 5th grade, and 8th at the latest. Rarely do they ever enter High School.

america is MADE of immigrants.

Made of legal immigrants, for the most part at least.

but a limited amount of people each year should be allowed in each year/month/ whatever.

They are. The problem is that people don't want to do it the long, tedious, legal way. It's so much easier to just run across the border.

and if the parents could actually get a good job?yes, some/most/whatever are not fully educated, but this is might be started from a cycle of being poor, sending kids to school, then pulling them out of school because they cant afford it or need more money coming in or whatever there reason is.

True, but they need to do it in a legal way. I understand that they do it for their families, with good intentions, but sneaking in isn't going to be good in the long run. If they get caught they'll be deported, and then they won't be able to enter the US legally.

Well you'd think the government would be keeping closer tabs on them after that. I'm no expert in deportation laws though.

While I do think that we need to do something about our illegal immigration problem. However America's immigration laws are a bit ridiculous and need to be re examined and streamlined.

I think there is a unwritten pact between U.S. citizens and Mexican Immigrants. Basically they work the "dirty jobs" because we don't want them. We do need people do those "dirty jobs" for us. It seems to me that a vast majority of Americans want and work white collar jobs. At least that applies to where I live.

I agree with that we think we're "to good" for those jobs and then we just sit at home whining that they have jobs and we don't.
