All I'm getting at is why would somebody want to try it with the possible side effects it can have?
Considering marijuana, the negative side effects are all short-term. Aside from an occasional smoker's couch if you smoke too much they are not too bad. Here's all that negative's I can think of:
Cottonmouth delayed reaction timing Occasional loss of motor skills (not always bad) Munchies (can go good or bad) destroyed sense of time
This thread is chalk full of misinformation and backwards logic.
Being 'high' happens to everyone regardless of taking drugs or not, so i you're going to rag on it in a vague and nondescript manner you should at least understand the physics of whats happening.
First off, The term drugs is a loose frame of a word that describes anything that you take from an external source and put into your body which changes your chemistry.
Second, The term 'high' only describes a marked difference in psychological decision making skills and rarely effects the body in a negative manner. You could easily call the feeling after a large meal a high because the fact that eating a huge steak releases almost the same endorphins that it would if you were to smoke marijuana or something of the sort. So on a technical level you are taking drugs every time you eat protein, drink sugar, or even breath the air on our planet now that its no longer a specific mix of nitrogen and oxygen. The previous generations have made us so scared of a little word like drugs that we have forgotten that every culture in the world habitually uses drugs on a daily basis, especially your parents.
Coffee, Energy Drinks, Candy, Cigarettes, Processed food, and yes even your drinking water is processed with chemicals in which make a marked difference in your chemistry.
