diablo (all of them) and civilisation 2 and 3

Yah civ 3 is a great time killer. Spent months on Diablo 2.

Depends on what game type you want to play.

World of Warcraft is by far the most fun/addicting

if you take windows vista and monthly pay out of the question. guild wars and battlefield 2142 are probably the best games

If you are looking for a MMORPG game then I would go World of Warcraft. The downside to that is the monthly cost though. However, I feel it is totally worth it.
If that isn't your style then for sure the Civilization series is amazing and can have you playing for hours. No two plays are the same in WOW and Civ.

Combat Arms is a great free game.
FPS theres multiple game modes,
100+ weapons.
Tons of things to do.
And its FREE so its not like u lost anything.

Spore is really fun, great graphics, and you can create your own creatures.
The story duzn't end when you finish the stages btw.
