also, according to wikipedia..
quetzalcoatl was a god and not a creature.

but it gets a 8/10 for being awesome as well.

Illithid (mind flayer)

Well, I would not say a mind flayer is from mythology, and that goes with some of the others too (displacer beast, fx)
But I like them. 7/10 for the awesome of mind.

Now, for an actual mythological being:
Kelpie (best known name, I guess... Hard on me not to take a Danish/Scandinavian monster)

c'thulthu whoever you spell it.

Cthulhu gets a 10/10 however i did state to only post mythical creatures, and Cthulhu doesnt count as a creature.
