Welcome to the ArmorGames League (AGL) for Colony. The AGL is a competition system designed by me to try and circumvent Colony's poor coordination abilities. The AGL will play quick small tournaments on Saturdays, if you are interested in joining please read the entire post.

Becoming a Member
To join the AGL simply ask to be in it and you will be allowed in if there is room. You also have to make another account name with the 1AGL1 tag. This new account is only meant to be used for AGL tourney games, this will not replace your regular playing account. Why do we need to make a new name you ask? Because I want you to have a name were you wins, win ratio, consecutive wins, and rank doesnât matter, it also makes it easier to spot out a fellow member, and I also have some lofty ambitions for it. If you decide to join, please post what your regular name is and what your new 1AGL1 name will be. Important, I only will allow the first 38 in (I'll explain later, so keep reading!).

Tournament Structure and Rules
The weekend tournaments are meant to be fast. They will consist of 16 players, 8 teams, and 3 rounds. The first 2 rounds will be one loss elimination, by that I mean if your team loses to the other team you are out, no more chances. The final round will be the best 2 out of 3 matches.

Who gets to play?
Well, if you are trying to figure out how 16 players = 38 stop trying. I will pick random players and randomly put them in teams, the next week I will pick another 16. Basically, if you played one week, you shouldnât play the next (but there is a chance you will). Why 38 and not 32? Well if I only had 32 players, and everything went perfectly that would be 16 different players each weekend, which means there will be 16 players who will not play against/with the other 16, with 38 it throws that cycle out of whack. So there is an unlucky chance that you will not play until after 2 other tournaments have been played, but remember that the AGL is suppose to take as little of your time as possible. Also, I want everyone to show up even if you are not suppose to play because someone's teammate might not show up, then they will need to pick someone, but before picking they must try and choose someone who hasnât gotten to play or someone who hasnât played in the previous 1 or 2 tournies.

How do you randomly pick players?
I will give everyone a number, then I will ask someone else to pick 16 and to pair them up. Then if you play I will take you out of the list for the next tourney. So after every week I have to give everyone new numbers. I will try a post who is playing as soon as I can after a tourney is completed, that will give everyone enough time to notice it and give teams a chance to practice.

More Rules and Guidelines
-If I'm not there don't worry, you guys should be smart enough to figure it out, so play it anyways.
-After every round I want someone to please post who won and who lost, please be honest.
-If on the sad chance that your teammate doesn't show up and you can't find someone you will have to forfeit, yeah I know it sucks, but we got to keep the tourney rolling (It is suppose to be quick remember!)
-On the day of the tourney (Saturday) please post that you are on and ready, this will be the toughest challenge, overcoming the timezones.
-Please acknowledge that you have been picked to play and that you have seen your partner.
-I will not be playing, I will however join somebody that can't find a partner, but only after they have used their other options.
-You can play in other tournaments too (not with your AGL name), feel free to play on Firetail's for example.

Other Stuff
Rankings?
I had a curious thought about having AGL rankings, but decided against it. I may implement it later, but right now rankings will be useless until after everyone has played in several tournies. I will be trying to keep track of everyone with a system I made, and Iâll show it to you if you want to keep track of yourself, but please do not ask me what rank you are.
5 points if you lose in the first round.
10 points if you win in the first round.
10 points if you lose in the second round.
20 points if you win the second round.
20 points if you lose in the finals.
35 points if you win the finals.
5 points for every match won in the finals (even if you lose the overall finals)

Ambitions
If this AGL is filled to its 38 max players, then I hope someone else will get brave and decide to try and head one, then we could play interleague games and have more fun.
-----------------------------------------------------------
*There will probably be new rules in the future.*

**If you have read everything and agree to taking sometime out of a Saturday then join.**

***This thread is only meant for AGL business, discuss strategies and other general info in other threads.***

38 people was too much to expect bronze... We're probably not even gonna get 10 people. How about we just aim for 16 people? Could have 4 games going on at once (it's not much at all, but there's nothing we can do about it). Good games last 10-15 minutes, and quick ones last like 5. Then after the first round, we say who we beat and we have 2 games after with the semi-finalists. Then we have 1 game that's gonna go with the finals. I know this is extremely short, maybe gonna take like 30-45 minutes, but we can't really get more people. It's gonna get into odd numbers when people can't play. So we need some more substitutes other then bronze himself.
I have one idea in mind that will make the tourney longer (not that much, one tournament game longer. But it will make the people who lost the first match get more fun). Just make a losers tourney for example: The 8 players who lost the first game, will start their own tourney, and do the same exact things we're doing. Having a semi-finals and a finals. But in the end, we're going to have a losers finals and winners finals. So that's 1 extra game. For those who want to hear the news, just stay in the lobby. For those who don't your free to leave. If Krin added observer spots into the game, it'd be much easier to see who wins and loses but the game doesn't have that yet.

Oh right, I forgot, we're gonna play a best 2 out of 3 match in the finals, so i guess that's gonna be longer. But if we go with my idea, are we going to have a 2 out of 3 in the final finals? Your going to have to post the time up soon Bronze. Post it in PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) when you think you'll know. Btw, I found out i will be able to join the tournament.

Mine was a lot more popular because the link was on my profile and more people played Colony back than. People are losing interest, so they don't participate in these kind of tournaments anymore.

I agree with Jerry, lessen it down to 16 people.

Alright, I want the next person to post to put these numbers in pairs:1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8. Then put them in a 8 player bracket.

You can leave it like that if you want.

Example:
3and5 vs 2and7
--------------
4and8 vs 1and6

Then I will reveal who the numbers are.

Alright, Friday and Saturday guys (I'll give you 2 days just in case). Contact your partners, practice and do whatever.

People can still join, but not for this week's tourney.
