So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)
TALK ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO COLONY (and beef burgers)
Just to let everyone know, the new server will be on the version it was released and after. What this means is, the poeple who use the hacked colony website that are out are running on earlier versions of the game that will not have the new server. This new server, in theory, will stop all the types of cheaters. This is what I came up with in my head. That is also why we need a new server.
If they can hack the new version then they are hacking the smart fox. also the current servers are running on the smart fox. The reason why the hackers are still here is because there is a hacked version of a version that contains the trix and dale servers. They cannot hack past the smart fox.
Hacking ruins the game. I try to help noobs, even if it costs me the Victory, so they won't resort to cheating. I also deplore people who put high ranks vs low ranks and start swiftly. Not fair. This could be one reason why seven-year-old players are cheating. (I'm guessing about the age...) Sometimes I wonder where do they get cheats from. (Not the cheat site adress itself, but whichever purpose would feed such a site, such a determined cheat engine...) Mr. Krin once stated "fighting hackers is like running versus an Olympic champion" (maybe not exactly those words), nevertheless he's been doing an extraordinary work, as if it weren't enough making Colony for a start. Does ArmorGames help him? Colony is a great game, the word is spreading, more and more of my friends are playing, besides the new friends met in-game. That's why I love it when hackers are detected and expelled. I know that hacking and cheating are impossible to stop. That's the law of entropy, "a measure of the disorder or randomness in a closed system." We must strive to keep it to a minimum. See ya!
Haha Soymaster, your knowledge of hacking sort of makes me giggle. I am a fairly new programmer and I know it is easily possible to by pass. All they need is a the new game swf which is incredibly easy to get with all of the the trainer owner's resources.
