Hello.

I just bought a 360 off my friend. I live in Japan. Can I by software from Japan to work on my American Xbox?

For example, could I buy an HD wire in Japan and have it work on my American xbox? Or could I buy a new controller here and it would work fine?

I know that the games will not work, so don't tell me about that. I'm just concerned about the wiring and such.

Hmm well i would think that it should there shouldnt be too much of a difference with that just only in the games like you said but i dont know i would ask like a person that works at a game store or something

it should be fine, its mainly just games that don't work on different region consoles

I tried google and other search sites, but sadly they don't discuss region coding quite often much less anything to do with the software. That's why I asked such geniuses like yourselves.

also there is a really simple way to find out for sure, CALL MICROSOFT AND ASK FOR AN AGENT! Trust me they will put you through to one within 10 - 15 minutes, I did it plenty of times. Once you get an agent just ask them the question and they will answer it for you.
