My favorite weapons are the M1 Garand, Mauser Kar98k, Sturmgewehr, and the M1 Carbine.

The M1 Garand is what won the war. I personally like the BAR and the humble M1911A1.

I think the M1911A1 is the best pistol ever.

Amen, brother. It was the United States Military's official side-arm for over 50 years, it is worthy of praise.

Top three weapons in my book would have to be the Thompson, BAR and M1911A1. Wish there were newer full auto .45 rifles out there.

Lee Enfield V. Gotta love bolt action.

That weapon was a beast. Did you know they actually trained US troops to discern that sound from others and use the reload time to advance on it and take it out? It was dreaded by the Allies and known as "Hitler's Buzz-saw". Not a bad one, but not so portable either.

Bolt action is slow, but more accurate than a semi-automatic rifle. I like that one too Firefly.

That's not technical true, there are semi-autos that are just as accurate as Bolt-action.

It was the first weapon I learned to shoot back in my ATC days, (although, sadly, not the V variant,) so I've always had a soft spot for it.

But the best rifle of the war? It's a very close tie between the Garand and the Gewehr.

Um it's totally the Garand.

I like the Italian Beretta model 38, very well crafted gun.

And the Thompson, and the MG42, and the blah blah blah etc etc
