Sure, you hear about Halo, Call of Duty, Fallout, etc. But have you played any good games that aren't popular/are underrated? For me, I would say Katamari or Civilization 4.

Quake 4. I liked that game a lot.
People know about Star Craft, its just that hardly anyone plays it. I don't play it, no one I know plays it.

Its quite well known but some people who arent rpg fans havent heard of lost odyssey.

Painkiller for the PC, I mean the storyline sucks balls but the gameplay is to die for.
Diablo is very fun made by blizzard co. same people who make WoW and starcraft
