Actually Elite, if anything, it would promote kids to spam the forums and comments with stupid things to make sure they have lots of points, because unfortunately people with lots of points are seen as cool for no apparent reason other than they have a lot of points.
armor points are points that you get if you 1 rate a game 2 comment on a profile or a game 3 recieve a merit 4 comment in forums
I think he knows what they are; he just wants to know why they're there.
Armor Points are an incentive to get people to post in the forums and to leave comments on games and profiles. I personally see nothing wrong with this system as it is, except for the fact that nobody gets merits anymore due to mods not checking games as often as they should.

Do you always see the glass half empty, and not half full, Klaus?
This topic is probably very different for each user, though some may be similar:
I personally don't care much about points, though I do perk up when I see that I've almost managed another 1000+ points (Which has only happened 3 times). I also get more active when I'm about to get a new set or armatars, which I love. It's kind of like collecting, except not really...
But Klaus you have a point...What is the real point. Hmm...let think up a conspiracy theory.
Like 'We wield more power of AG, and will one day dominate even the sentient species known only as mod and admin.' That'd be fun...
It makes it a little bit more fun...shows those who are either dedicated to the site or dedicated to spam.
Your right, it does. Some of our best users are actually in the bottom half of the top 100, not the top half...
By the time most dedicated users get to about 10k they don't worry about points. The spammers...when they get to 50k.
Like Cenny: Almost reached 10,000 he has! And one of the nest AG users around.
If a spammer managed 50,000 AP it would only be because the mod and admin team had a vacation in the middle of Antarctica for a year while leaving the site. ANd that seems unlikely...
