my review
Lunar dragon song is an RPG game which offers a long storyline and tons of gameplay. However not much of this is actually good gameplay. It has some brilliant graphics but no animated cutscenes and tends to just copy expressions a lot when the graphics are probably the best part of the game. In battle you can have a maximum of 3 people in your party with up to 7 enemies on the screen. There are flying enemies and ground enemies and you cant hit the flying enemies until you kill the ground enemy below them. However you cannot choose which enemies you target which will often leave you screaming in frustration as your strongest character takes out a guy which your weakest could have finished off so that you have to suffer another heavy damage beatdown. You play the game as Jian. A human with the ability to stand on his head. This helps quite a lot in combat because it allows Jian to use 3 attacks in a row making him the most powerful character in the game. However jian cant use any magic. At the very start of the game you will get lucia on your party. lucia is incredible useful due to the fact that there are until 2 real mages in the whole game and they are both healers. Lucia is one of these healers and deals incredibly low damage and will probably only be able to defeat enemies with 9 health left or around that. You dont need to worry much about forgetting what your doing because if you do then you can have your characters talk to see what to do next. The music in this game is really good and fits the scenes perfectly. The only music youre likely to get sick of is the battle music because it loops around during the long battles. However i dont really care cause i really liked the battle music. you will sometimes come into battles where Jian will have to fight alone and these can get really annoying. Every battle allows you to either manually fight or have your characters automatically attack. Most of the time youll find yourself putting it on auto and only taking it off auto to heal your guy when they get on half health of lower. shortly after reaching your third town you will get gabryel in your party. A beastwoman who uses claws to fight and has a special ability called gale cut which hits all enemies. Youll find yourself using gale cut a lot since it also seems to double the damage you deal. The main quests in this game are pretty straight forward and are often a kill # of this or collect # of this. You can also perform jobs to earn money. One of the worst parts of this game is probably the two different modes of combat. It has a virtue mode where you can earn EXP but not items or gold and a combat mode where you dont earn EXP but get items not gold. The only way to get gold in the whole game is to either sell your items or to do jobs. I recommend doing the deliver to gads express mission because though it pays poorly it allows you to not have to pick up items meaning you can still gain EXP. There is also cards which you can pick up from enemies in combat mode which can be very useful. One of the worst parts about this game is that you are forced to fight bosses in combat mode while i would really like to get massive experience from virtue mode. Around halfway through the game you lose lucia and get her replace with flora another healer. There is no difference between lucia and flora other then that flora deals more damage and can use her bow to hit flying enemies. Every time you get a new party member they start at level one. This normally makes them an easy target for the enemies so that they never gain exp and will die everytime. After two areas of battle after battle you must use jian on his own again before being thrown right into a boss battle (Jian is likely on low health by now or poisoned. i know i was) where you get gabriel and rufus (rufus is level 15) to help you. Rufus and gabriel are both beastmen/women and both use an special that hits all enemies. After this you will spend ages going on various quests. You will get flora back instead of rufus shortly after getting rufus and will eventually be told that you need to defeat four dragons to face ignitus. After defeating each dragon you will get a ring that will allow jian to cast a spell. He can only have one ring at a time which means you can only cast one spell at a time. Rings will help you in battle in many different ways but i would greatly recommend that you simply equip Jian gabryel and flora with the counter rings. (i cant remember if you get one for rufus. Dont bother with lucia because shes too weak to have her counterattacks matter.) There is my review of Lunar dragon song.

After all that i have only one question about it. What the heck is up with the unusually large breasts on the Beastwomen shopkeepers in healriz. I noticed this when my cousin pointed it out to me while i was getting items and ive been wondering about that myself for a while too. Its not just this game but most games in general are now featuring female characters like this and i just wonder why its becoming like that. What is this world coming too.
