So when I played and beat campaign in Modern Warfare 2, I realized one of the major villians, Makarov, is still alive. General Shepherd was killed. So maybe Makarov comes back in what might be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. What are your thoughts on what might be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3?
CoD : MW 3 is probably not gonna come in like 3 years? They are working on CoD 7 right now. And Makarov, Nope. He's not dead. It's brutal how Gen. Shepherd had to betray his own people just to eliminate Makarov. "SOAP" LIVES!!! For now. I think Nicolai would be in MW3 too. Since he was a part of the "Most wanted"
I won't be surprised if a Modern Warfare 3 were to come out. If you're making money, why stop? Though, don't think about it. Modern Warfare 2 just came out atleast 2 weeks ago.
General Shepherd ambushed Makarov and his soldiers in the Airplane Graveyard, you break out with Cpt. Price and escape with Nikolai, you chase Shepherd through mountain facilities, have a boat right, shoot down his Pave Low, crash, Melee fight and you end it with taking out the knife you had in your chest and throw it into General Shepherds left eye while he pummels Cpt Price, he then wakes up and Nikolai lands, you need to get out and Nikolai knows a place.
So... Is that easy enough for ya? And btw, when he lost 30,000 men in the blink of an eye I'm certain he was referring to the Nuclear explosion within Chernboyl, and Makarov was serving Zakhauv in MW2, he used America as a Scapegoat for Russia to attack. After you are betrayed as Gary Roach you re-assume the role of Soap Mactavish, killing Shepherd as America is severely losing against Russia in their war, Washington Monument was destroyed, White House was captured, and the like.
In the end America is down for the count, Russia was hit badly with a nuke that Cpt Price configured and you, Price with Nikolai I'm sure go into hiding.
MW3 Will probably come out, not sure for how long it will be though. Either way, it'll have to be the offensive on Russia or a new country comes in, no idea why, I loved MW2 though !

And no, I do not know for certain whether Makarov is truly dead, but I remember this: Cpt Price: "You won't last a week Makarov..." Makarov: "And neither will you..." Cpt Price: "I'll see you in hell, and if you get there first give Zakhauv my regards."
After that, you escape the Airplane Graveyard, so it's sort of a 'blank check', really speaking...
well it did'nt really end properly... They took off in a helicopter and said "they will still look for us" then it shows a museum. so MW3 most likely ... I would play MW3 if it comes out!!
