...Socks? I lost mine last Saturday, I think they're somewhere in the laundry room.
It is interesting that even n the post industrial age, man has experienced what has plagued him for thousands of years, his socks going missing. It seems it will never be solved. Most socks are essentially identical, and few people ever take the time to catalogue theirs. As a result we will almost certainly never understand the quality that makes these items - so very much more so than gloves, hats or their closest relation, underwear - so elusive.
Suffice to say, my socks most often go missing in the wash. How? It seems that that's an unsolvable question.
