Well when their is nohting to do,to cold,friends aren't out I will play them,they are preatty fun .

For entertainment, for escape, out of boredom, for fun, etc, etc. Pretty much any reason you can think of.

It used to be to compete with my friends. Originally however I liked it because of the story lines and the characters. Now days it's for work research.

nah, Makes a good time killer and you can do stuff in video games that you cant do in real life. Fantasy games are awesome.

To escape from the harsh reality of life...and cause its fun...nothing to do with the me trying to ignore the impending doomsday...im going to go now.

Man honestly i play shooters because i love action and killing. I cant kill anyone in real life so might as well bust a door down gunz a blazin...you get what i mean.

I think a big part of video games is doing something you can't do in real life. (kinda like Microe said).

I mean, how many times can you be Alexander Ovechkin, slide across the ice, and roof a backhander top shelf?

And it's just something to pass the time!

I play games because it's a nice, temporary escape from reality. Think about it, would u play a game where you basically went through life? If you did, you would do stupid things and not actually go through it like you would in real life. I play games because it's nice to sometimes pretend like I'm someone else or doing something I normally wouldn't.

It's like reading a book but I have control over the outcome and it's tremendously more immersive.

to pass time and have fun

because there fun except i get really mad if i keep losaing aND THEN I dont play video games for a while

For fun and to do something other than just sitting around doing nothing
