I have loved oblivion since the moment I first played it about 2 1/2 years ago. every month or two i always get bored with my new games so i play oblivion some more. i am actually playing it right now as i type and i was just wondering if i was the only person that still actually plays this game? PS- just for fun i thought I'd mention that i recently began a new guy named dumbledore who has all 7 of the magical skills as major skills and i have almost gotten to master level on all my major skills. i just have about ten more on restoration and destruction. i am level 43, anybody else ever do this?
Oblivion morrowind or elder scrolls? if elder scrolls i still play that from time to time when im bored pretty fun :P have a few days put into it great game same as fall out 3 and ive never made a all around mage player kinda a bash things in the head kinda of guy lol ;D
I'm talking about Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, the one your talking about. I usually like to bash to but after 2 years i changed it up. being a mage is rediculously easy just select a spell and cast it like 1000 times and your level 40 before you know it. I feel so nerdy
Lol. I find it funny when I find somebody with so much dedication in a particular game. It shows that games are not just something to keep you occupied for 5-10 minutes. They are art. Some people listen to the same band for hours, some people stare at art for hours, and some play games for hours. Oh yeah, the subject. I am pretty interested in Oblivion and I think I'm going to buy it in a couple of days. I have heard nothing but good things about it for YEARS. That game has to be worth my time, even if it's not quite my kind of game, (infinite questing games) it should be worth it, I think. I wish there were as many hours of gameplay in Fallout 3 as there were in ES4O.
It's better than its predecessor, Morrowind. It has a storyline that should be made into a 4th Lord of the Rings. The weapons are amazingly fun, and you can do an unlimited amount of stuff in this game.
*laughs uncontrollably.* Oh, wait, what were you saying?
It's better than its predecessor, Morrowind.
I always felt - for a fantasy game - Oblivion's world had a very humanoid feel, which started to bore me. I wanted to see the massive Dwarven mines were wicked gods tried to kill me, not just another epic tower that's deemed the Palace.
I also found the story in Oblivion quite boring. Gate, gate, gate, gate, Blades, spies, gate, gate, chop, hack, slice, gate-gate, gate - hooray - you did the main quest!
I still play the game, I normally download downloadable content, like quests and new villages, NPCs, and new weapons. It all expands the game far beyond what it was originally, which was, in my opinion quite bland. It's a good game - I enjoyed it thoroughly - but it looks like they spent a bit too much time drawing detailed graphics of some remote countryside village to implement to the game, and not enough glowing mushrooms and odd cities harrowed with horrible heatwaves with houses made out of demonic daedric skulls and cloths.
They really lost a lot of imagination making this sequel, in my opinion.

Ehh... I say no to that. It got prettier, I'll give it that much.
1. Weapon, Armor, clothing, accessory, and dungeon variety was 10x stronger
2. Better storyline by far
3. You could THROW SOMETHING in Morrowind.
4. As annoying as they were, you had flying enemies in Morrowind.
5. I think it goes without saying that Oblivion was a little TOO balanced. Many weapon types, many different weapons of said type, many different sub-weapons of said type, damage range, and different damage types were ALL part of Morrowind. for instance, stabbing someone in the face would do different damage than chopping his foot off, and different weapons would be better suited to one damage type than the other.
6. over 500 quests. Kthxbai
Oh, and take everything I said about how great Morrowind was. Daggerfall was 40x better.
I used to play elder scrolls when i got pissed at cod4 and halo. I was level 69. I had 100 on alot of stats, I LOVED that one skill with herbs or whatever. Long time since i havnt played though. I loved that game so much, especially the expansions and stuff.
