I have thought about this for a long time, here goes. If everyone is special then we all fall under the category of special. Therefore no one is special. But by not being special we break away from the category of "special" and are once again special and the cycle continues. So are we special or not?
Everyone is special right? So that would make them normal (because they're ALL special.
Then that means everyone is normal because they are all special.
But everyone is special in their own way OR you can say everyone is special at being special.
-- So yes, being special means you're normal(indifferent), but you're special in OWN WAY. Being special IS NOT a quality its a thingymabobber.... i lost myself.. Lets ditch this and try it again... -- *switches special with different*
Everybody is different, and everyone shares that quality making them all indifferent in being different. Everyone shares the quality of being human, or sharing the quality of life or movement. Being different is a shared quality. Everyone shares being different. Uhh where am I going?? Lets be different together!!!! (yay) -----
Well that didn't work, but I hope somebody could finish where I was going
Alpha, I think that a whole lot of people didn't understand what you meant.
He's not saying that you're not special
What he means is, if EVERYONE is special, then how can anyone be special? The only plausible answer is that some people are more special than others, which is apperently not true. So if everyone is JUST as special as everyone else, then how can anyone be special at all?
I'm sure someone else already said that in their own words, but I only skimmed through the thread.
My responce to this "Mega Hard Brain Teaser" is that if you change the word to "unique" or "different" then it becomes very easy, and is no longer a paradox(?).
