The only game from Lucas Arts that didn't copy off any other game, yet it was still very "meh" in terms of gameplay.
Star Wars: the Old Republic.
Not sure about the difference between this and Knights of the Old Republic, but the latter copied off D&D and The Elder Scrolls, and that only got 5s and 6s. Just sayin'.
I will hope too. I've seen the images, and the gameplay footage on many video sites, including GameSpot and Youtube, I'm just going to say right now that the Barbarian is going to be beast in the future. \\_|_|_|_/
Diablo is made by Blizzard, the same company that made Warcraft. Diablo is the RPG-form of their projects. Honestly, every concept of World of Warcraft was taken from Diablo which just proves it even more that Diablo is the best project that they've done.
Actually, everything that is in World of Warcraft, was taken from the original Warcraft series. I have all of them. It's the same story. And I also have Diablo 1 and 2. And from what I've seen, there aren't that many similarities -- maybe only a few.
I'm not a "big" gamer, but from what I know, it'll be a few of these:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Diablo 3. StarCraft 2. If Expansions count some people might go for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. The new Prince of Persia.
Then again, there are alot of games that are better than some of these games, despite there age.
I actually find Age of Empires II and its expansion better than any of the Prince of Persia's, oh crap, God of War III, add that to the list, it does look pretty damn good
okay personally the best game i will play is battlefield bad company 2 lost planet 2 and super mario galaxy 2 but im betting that the newest halo is going to be the best(for those people who havent fallen in love with master chief) cuz i read the gameinformer article about halo reach and that game seems like it would be great to play and th other game that will probably do really well is a game that just has a lot of followers so maybe FF 13 or god of war 3 or diablo 3 but halo reach will definetely get the most sales but game play wise the best will be B:BC2. its supposed to be better than the first one and the first one was great with the laser designator and real destructible cover
alright the top games sales wise are going to go like this
1. halo reach 2. god of war 3 3. FF 13 4. diablo 3 5. B:BC2 my reasoning is that the first four are franchises that have produced good quality for a while and it seems that BC2 has alot of good hype around it. now diablo 3 will be fourth because i read somewhere that its been 10 years since diablo 2? is that right? if it is its going to mean that some gamers who bought the first two are older and...still living with their parents if they bought them like the first day it came out and were around 30 at the time. everyone else is okay for now. but im talking like first month of sales. after that i would switch...maybe diablo and bad company or diablo and FF13 but i dont play any of those games except for halo sometimes and bad company oh and honorable mentions go to lost planet 2, super mario galaxy 2, MAG, bioshock 2 and mass effect 2
That's gonna be one heck of a promise to keep. Heck, CoDMW1 had 20 people against eachother on Xbox and there was still lag, but hey. This is PlayStation. Maybe they can keep their promise. I wouldn't let my hopes up though. They're not really in control of that. It's your internet connection. But still, I'd like to see how that goes.
