I must honestly say, this site is just very slow.

For me threads come up very slowly and really in general if I have more than one tab (which I always do) they may have their connection interrupted during the process.

This is one of the main reasons I don't come here as often as I used to, and I am wondering why this is, because my connection isn't bad.

I'm playing the world's smallest violin.

Seriously, though. This is just a side effect of optimization. It makes it slow, but it's for a good cause. And it's usually only temporary.

Then again, it could be a problem with your computer or browser. What browser are you using and how old is your computer?

Firefox, best browser ever, and my computer is a year or two old, nothing fatal, and has been wiped clean many times.

So slowness is a side effect of optimization?
What dictionary are you using?

Google Chrome is faster.

The AG dictionary. What else?

Slowness...? What slowness? And remember, it doesn't matter if you're using firefox or if your computer is top notch, what matters is the speed of your connection and your ping to the server. If your connection is low and your ping is high, ladies and gentleman, we have found our problem.

This is nothing compared to a year+ ago BEFORE optimization

I can even access this at great speed on my 8g iTouch. (safari)

Again... I think it has to do with the time table you're using to access Armor Games...
If you enter the AG-website on a time scedule that's in the United States, you're likely to experience a lot of lag on the website, simply because of the amount of people all accessing AG at the same time...

Could the ladies and gentlemen please explain to me what in the world a 'ing' is? Guess I'm older than I thought... ouch... *raises eyebrow*

And I'll make the first obvious joke myself: "it's the word that comes before pong"... :P

ping is like the transfer rate of bits to and fro a website.

53 ping... not bad, not bad. I usually have 120 myself, 100 on a good day.

And those that are far away in distant nations like the UK or who knows, China, then they will have a much higher ping, because the connection has to go back and forth a much farther distance than those in different states of the USA.

Also Ernie15 cool face thing.

It would be cooler if it didn't have that logo or the big cross in the middle of it.

I wish I knew what those numbers being discussed even meant. Could someone explain it to me pleeease?

Really? AG runs just fine on my computer, I'm using Firefox and always have at least 2 tabs open. Probably something with your computer then? Have you scanned for viruses?
