well since eggs have been around near a billion years and I doubt chickens have been around that long... I would say that the egg came first... But as far as whether a Chicken egg came first or a chicken... the chicken egg came first...
Technically eggs, because if you believe in evolution, then there was eggs in species before that werent chickens. So its the egg in that asspect. And for all you whiners that say "That doesnt count!" Then due to evolution a bird layed a mutant egg that later became the first "Chicken"
The chicken just doesn't magically appear, it had to come from an egg.
o-- If you're not a God believer then evolution would point to the egg. o-- If you are a believer of God then the egg and chicken would have been there at the same time, so it's a tie there.
hmmmmmm.......okay people brace urself for some biological terms. it is widely questioned about whether egg or chicken came first. well, didnt all things come from cells. oh yeah. prakoryotic cells slowly kept developing and it eventually becomed eukaryotic cells. later on, dna replication caused the size of all cells to keep growing until the genetic variation caused the first chickens. they were not so sure about sex and thus died without any sex in their life. yep litle suckers. but, the next strand of dna replication created chickens that were sex crazy and had sex everyday. since they could not produce direct babies like mammals, they got this egg to help with sex everyday. the later generation of those chickens are the ones u see today and that is why chickens lay egg everyday. got it?
