Hello everyone. Today I was trying to sign on my ps3, and I got a message saying: "error 8001050F, cannot sign on". I figured this was just my inernet as sometimes I can't sign on. So I figured that I would just play some MW2 spec ops by myself. When I tried to start it however, a message poped up saying that it couldn't get trophy information, and that the game would quit. Now I've never seen this before, so I decided to google it... And what do you know? PSN is having problems once again.

"Sony PlayStation 3 owners in multiple regions (including North America, Europe, and Australia) are facing the inability to sign into the PlayStation Network online gaming service, corrupted user data and inability to play some games online or off. The problems are accompanied by the 8001050F error code.
When they try to load up certain games â" including the just-released Heavy Rain â" they receive the error code and the following message: âRegistration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will now quit.â After the message, the system reboots. The problems seem to mostly affect older, âfatâ models of the PS3. Slim models are either not impacted or affected far less frequently.
Trophies are prizes given to players for accomplishing certain tasks in each game; the trophies are synced with the PlayStation Network so players can compare their achievements. Gaming blog Joystiq found reports that the consoles were having their dates reset to 12/31/1999; that might somehow be related to the trophy syncing problems.
Once reports of the problems started to appear, Sony tweeted: âWeâre aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, weâre looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.â Thatâs all weâve heard from them so far. Thereâs no solution just yet; even disconnecting your console from the Internet doesnât help. Weâll post an update immediately when we hear about a resolution."
It seems that I'm not the only one having this problem, and that once again the Playstation Network is down.
I tried today and it was an error. Then I tried to play Asassin's Creed 2 then it kicked me off there because it couldn't load the trophies. FML
Same thing happened to me with MW2. Funny thing through... I can still download demos that I had in progress before the PSN went down. I started downloading the God Of War 3 demo a little before PSN went down, but now even through I can't sign on to PSN at all, the demo is still downloading.
mine was fixed yesterday... Yea it was done on the older ones, only for games that had trophies thow. All the games that didnt have trophies could be played. Maybe its something to do with the whole february 29th thing.. Cuz they basically just said it was code.
