i know you can, but how do you make one? do you have to buy a special software or somethinig? Cuz i wanna create my own games but i dont know how. PLz if you could Tell me how or post a link. I would prefer a free program were i could take my own pictures and use them as characters or where i can create a character specifacally. PLZ AND THANKYOU!!!
Making a game that websites will accept is a painstakingly long process where you'll have to learn an entirely new coding language. And yes, it is also expensive. And yes, it is also difficult. It's not something you'll manage to do overnight.
First I suggest buying Adobe Flash CS4 for $699 (or £466). Okay, now you have your suite where you'll write, run, and debug your code. Now, unless you plan to do everything you'll need to find (and most of the time hire) an artist, an animator and a programmer. You'll have to be one of these. Learning Flash will take you 1 - 2 years and then you'll still be learning more. Programming flash is a difficult task, animating is extremely boring and art is what you need for your game to look nice.
What I am getting at is making a game for AG is difficult.
However, you can use Game Maker. This makes making games easier: you won't have to learn Flash and it won't cost you $700. However, after the games have been created you save them in an exe format, which cannot be uploaded to AG.
Should it matter, the fact still remains you put more time into just learning the basics then you do actually working on a game. Then you could put a year into the game and put out a crappy product and still never ever having the chance to play it yourself.
Guess it all depends on how much you want to make a game! Right?
If someone is thinking of making a game, it will be a process of character that results in a new developer being born ...or not! I for one stick to the game playing rather than developing them, that's just something beyond my reach and frankly... I don't mind about that either! =D
