I saw the trailer and it looks great. If you are a fan of westerns you should check out "Call of Juarez" and "Gun". Great games with high level of freedom, like in GTA games which you mentioned.

It's the Old West, not inner city organized crime.

Red Dead Redemption is awesome. Well, it looks awesome.

I think that this game will turn out to be really awesome. I mean, it was made by the same people that made GTA, so it should be very extensive.

Red Dead Redemption ign review
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/109/1090125p3.html

9.5 Presentation
A powerful story and remarkable characters. Tons of depth, but it doesn't quite have the perfect polish that most Rockstar games exhibit.

9.5 Graphics
A few visual hiccups are the only downside to this incredible looking game. Fantastic art direction.

10 Sound
Superb voice acting and a wonderful soundtrack.
9.5 Gameplay
Great variety, great combat, and a great multiplayer mode.

10 Lasting Appeal
Online or off, there are more than enough excellent reasons to keep coming back.
9.7
OVERALL
Incredible

Quite spammy but thank you.

One of the game's stronger points would be its sandbox gameplay, I admit. Thank goodness someone made an awesome Western game. It's not too common of a genre worked upon these days.

I can't believe you just mentioned Call of Juarez in the same light as Gun. The latter was a superb game. Call of Juarez was just rubbish.

With regard to Red Dead Redemption, I cannot wait to get my 360 back. It will ensure my skin gets minimal tannage this summer. Played it at a mates. So good.
